It's Day 3 and we're in Matthew 17.
Sometimes we only want to hear words of comfort from God, but we're reminded in Hebrews 4:12 that the Bible is "sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit." It's great when we get an encouraging word, but we need to be convicted too.
Where God Spoke To Me:
- Verse 20 - He doesn't even require massive faith - we just have to have a little faith.

Your Questions:
- "I'm confused on the explanation below that u provided for verse 24.
He could not be all things to all people - reaching out to the Jewish people was a sufficiently big mission for His time.
My thinking is that Jesus definitely could and can be all things to all people. I understand that maybe His purpose was not to help her that day; but He definitely could and did help her. Am I looking at this wrongly?" - I'm not saying that Jesus is not the Savior of the world. He is. But during His earthly ministry, His focus was on the Jewish people. All His disciples were Jewish. The people He preached to were Jews. Only on rare instances did He do a miracle for a Gentile. It is only after His rejection by the Jewish people that we get into the book of Acts and the opening of the door to the Gentiles to become believers.
