- Verse 20 - This is a prophecy that was fulfilled at Jesus' death.

Your Questions and Comments:
- "Mark 7:27. I usually read the amplified version & found this while reading........it made the passage easier to swallow I think: 'Jews used kuon (dog) as a derogatory term referring to Gentiles. This dog (kuon) was a despised, filthy, homeless street scavenger. When speaking with this woman, Jesus uses a word for dog (kunarion) that refers to a household pet. The use of the word kunariois by both Jesus and the woman reflects the tenderness and spiritual depth of this exchange.'"
- "Mark 1:5,8. Were these people saved after their confession & water baptism? Or was a personal relationship required after Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist?" - Good question and a tough one. I don't like using the word "saved" with them, because the sacrifice of Christ on the cross was still in the future. And I don't think the key moment after that was Jesus being baptized, but rather His death and resurrection. I think the way I would say it would be: their repentance and baptism restored them to the relationship with God that was available under the Old Testament system.
