60IN60 Day 58 - Tues Apr 29

It's Day 58 and we're in Psalm 2.

Where God Spoke To Me:
- Verse 12 - We don't like to think of the wrath of God, but the Bible is clear that wrath is part of His justice.

Help:
- Verses 4-6 - The idea of the Lord laughing here has to do with Him laughing at how they think they can overcome Him.
- Verse 9 - The idea here is that Jesus will someday rule over those who oppose Him and in that moment He will shatter their resistance and judge them.
- Verse 12 - The evil of sin demands that God be wrathful.  What kind of God would He be if He looked at the evil in the world and was not bothered by it?

Your Comments and Questions:
- Luke 22: "I don't know how many times I've read Luke's account of the Last Supper, but this is the first time the Holy Spirit pointed out to me that the bread and cup did not occur at the same time. I think He's still working on me. In Luke 22:36 was the instruction to buy a sword for it's literal purpose?" - On communion, Mark doesn't mention the break, but Luke does.  Good catch.  Also, I think the sword comment was limited to the purpose for that evening.  Given His other comments, I don't think He's calling His servant to an armed offensive.
